Bee Balm / Bergamot (Monarda didyma)
Bee Balm buzzes with life and peppery scented blooms, offering work to busy bees, food for our resident hummingbirds (Humphrey + Henrietta) and for us a tummy soothing cup of after dinner tea.

History: Bergamot or Bee Balm tastes a bit like Earl Grey tea, with warm notes and slightly pungent after taste, likely due to its high levels of thymol. Bee Balm, has been used by Native Americans for centuries to treat a wide variety of health disorders, including infections and digestive disorders, as well as, an ingredient in the traditional 'Oswego' tea. In Traditional Chinese Medicine it is known as Mi Feng Chun Gao.
Safety + storage: Store in a sealed container, in a cool dry place. Keep out of reach of children. Generally considered safe and nontoxic; use caution during pregnancy.
Process: We capture a plants life force (Prana or Qi) and vitality at its peak and gently preserve it for optimum potency. Our herbs are sustainably farm grown, hand harvested and carefully dried without the use of heat or irradiation.
